We offer a range of dhow and large pirogue cruises in northwest Madagascar, lasting from 3 to 23 days.
No matter how many days we plan, we never have a rigidly planned itinerary, because one of the main characteristics of our travels is to live in tune with the present and the days that follow. We determine the stops as the trip progresses, depending on everything and everyone. These are the ingredients we need to ensure that every Alefa trip unfolds as a smooth, delightful, unusual and, in the end, exceptional adventure.
The descriptions of the sample cruises below do not specify the ports of call and activities to be followed absolutely to the letter. They are only intended to give you an idea of how the trip should be structured in relation to its duration; a little material to help you dream more fully! ... And never lose sight of the fact that our area of freedom and discovery represents almost a hundred possible stopovers along 400 km of virtually untouched coastline. In over thirty years of experience, we've never managed to make two identical trips. And we're proud of it!
So never hesitate to choose trip durations not described on this site: 9 days, 12, 13, 14 or 17 days .... and why not 21 or 23 days. Feel free!

For a convivial cruise in Madagascar
For those wishing to avoid the "tourist hustle and bustle" of Nosy Be on their return from a trip with ALEFA and continue to enjoy the charms of the bush in a comfortable hotel combining several atmospheres on an ecological theme, hotel service, table d'hôte, nature gite, we offer a duo Alefa - Naturalia lodge. (minimum 4-day Alefa trip + 2 nights at the lodge)
Visit Naturalia Lodge is located on the "Grande Terre", about an hour's speedboat ride south of Nosy Be, just opposite the island of Nosy Iranja. Nestled between lush green hills and turquoise waters, the lodge sits on the edge of an immense, almost deserted 14-kilometre beach. The Souroune forest overlooking it is rich in endemic flora and fauna (numerous birds, day and night lemurs...).
A little piece of paradise for Robinsonnade fans, and probably one of the most original structures in the region.
